Making wedding rings workshop

Making wedding rings workshop

Regular price £200.00 Sale

We are excited to introduce resin workshops with Tanya, our sole maker here at Milk Diamonds. Tanya is an experienced keepsake jeweller and silversmith.

This beginner course is aimed at couples wanting to make wedding rings for each other in preparation for the big day. We will first practice using silver so that you can become comfortable with materials and the tools before moving onto your gold rings. You will have the studio to yourselves with Tanya there to give you her full attention. Ring sizes, band width, and type of gold will need to be known in advance. Completed rings will be sent to Birmingham Assay Office for hallmarking. The course fee is for two people. Any precious metals used are not included in the workshop fee and will be charged the current price on the day.

Schedule:

  • History of wedding bands
  • Intro to workbench
  • Soldering equipment
  • Measuring, cutting, filing, soldering, pickling, sanding & polishing
  • Difference between working with silver and gold
  • Finishing off rings
  • Hallmarking

This is a one day workshop which runs 10am - 4pm with an hour lunch break (not provided)

All workshops take place at our Studio in Frome and are limited to three students, so you can be sure you'll have a personal experience.

The studio is on the first floor and only has access via stairs. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for those unable to use stairs or vertigo sufferers. Tea & coffee making facilities are available, as well as restrooms. There is parking nearby and the local train station is a 20 minute walk.

To book, select your desired date from the dropdown box and add to basket. We'll contact you prior to your workshop with any additional information needed and to confirm attendance. If you have any questions in the meantime, you can always get in touch.

See our cancellation policy for resin workshops.
