We are excited to introduce resin workshops with Tanya, our sole maker here at Milk Diamonds. Tanya is an experienced keepsake jeweller and silversmith.
This is an intermediate level course aimed at people with a bit of experience of making jewellery or working with fiddly details. Day one will involve making a sterling silver ring using wire and attaching a sterling silver bezel. On day two you will make a cabochon stone containing your inclusions which can include breastmilk, hair, ashes, fur, or fabric. (Breastmilk will need to be sent in prior for preservation). You can design your own stone to perfectly suit you. You will end the sessions by fitting the stone into your ring. Any findings/precious metals used are not included in the workshop fee and will be charged the current price on the day.
This is a two day workshop which runs 10am - 4pm with an hour lunch break each day (not provided)
All workshops take place at our Studio in Frome and are limited to three students, so you can be sure you'll have a personal experience.
The studio is on the first floor and only has access via stairs. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for those unable to use stairs or vertigo sufferers. Tea & coffee making facilities are available, as well as restrooms. There is parking nearby and the local train station is a 20 minute walk.
To book, select your desired date from the dropdown box and add to basket. We'll contact you prior to your workshop with any additional information needed and to confirm attendance. If you have any questions in the meantime, you can always get in touch.
